This week we sold 1 puppy. This sale was in response to the add we put in the "Thrifty Nickel".
This a picture of her with her new owner, Kendra Brenner. Bye, bye puppy!
Right now Helmut and are I serving as Primary teachers together! I have to admitt that it makes for very exhausting Sundays, but we do enjoy serving together and the children are really cute. We teach the CTR 7 Class. Above is a picture of all 9 of them.
August 24th Helmut turned 59.........wow, where does the time go? These pictures are from his birthday celebration at Matt and Meggan's clubhouse.
The hot tub is a favorite spot for visiting after a delicious lunch.
Krew - checking out the birthday cake!
Ty - watching the hot tube group. He was more comfortable that day
just sittng on the side line, for some reason.

Thie time of year we spend a lot of time in the yard! I (Nana) head out to work in the yard
first thing every morning except Sunday. Papa and I go out there together every Saturday. His
specialty is the lawn and pruning the trees. (That can be dangerous.) I really love my time
outside every morning........it is my way of getting in touch with nature and doing a bit of quiet
thinking. I know that working in the yard is not everyone's favorite activity, but I am really
grateful that I am able to work still.

A big chunk of our summer went to our company from Germany. Marie Ebisch stayed with
us from July 17th to August 13th. Her parents and younger brother, Justin came the 13th of
August and stayed for three nights. It was a real learning experience and caused me to do some
personal stretching in terms of patience.........it was nice to get acquainted with more of the
Winkler's (our good friends from Berlin) family and we were happy to help them. Truly, I don't think we would sign-up for a whole month again. We will be seeing them again in October when we go to Freiberg.

One of dad's summer projects this year was to put the net up for paddle ball and paint the lines. It looks great!

Here is another view of our vegetable garden.......this is my specialty and it is so fun to harvest our produce. So far this year we have enjoyed home grown tomatoes, cabbage, green beans, peas, garlic, carrots and corn on the cob! Yummy!

We celebrated the 4th of July this year by welcoming 6 new puppies! Sadly 2 of the little males didn't make it.............Cairen and Seth will be taking 1 of the little females home soon. This leaves us with 2 females and 1 male to find homes for.....they will be going cheap. So, spread the word, because I am tired of cleaning up poop!
